  • 1 cake angel food cake Light and fluffy, perfect for soaking. Substitute with pound cake for a richer taste.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Or opt for coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • ½ cup powdered sugar To sweeten the cream.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For a touch of warmth.
  • Extra berries for garnish Keep it festive!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cool water. Pat them dry, then slice the strawberries.
Whipping Cream
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
Assembling the Trifle
  1. In a large glass bowl or individual serving glasses, layer crumbled angel food cake, followed by a generous spoonful of whipped cream.
  2. Layer sliced strawberries, followed by blueberries. Repeat the layers until the top of the trifle bowl.
  3. Finish with a layer of whipped cream and garnish with extra berries.
Chilling
  1. Allow the trifle to chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh; cover and refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days.
