Preparation
- Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cool water. Pat them dry, then slice the strawberries.
Whipping Cream
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
Assembling the Trifle
- In a large glass bowl or individual serving glasses, layer crumbled angel food cake, followed by a generous spoonful of whipped cream.
- Layer sliced strawberries, followed by blueberries. Repeat the layers until the top of the trifle bowl.
- Finish with a layer of whipped cream and garnish with extra berries.
Chilling
- Allow the trifle to chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh; cover and refrigerate leftovers for up to 2 days.
