  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup beef broth Adjust according to moisture preferences.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Can substitute with balsamic vinegar for an Italian twist.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Test seasoning before cooking.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced Add for extra flavor and texture.
  • 1 cup green beans or peas Add for extra nutrition and color.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour beef broth over the patties and add mushrooms and green beans if using.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the beef is cooked through and the juices run clear.
Serving
  1. Serve warm over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or steamed rice.
  2. Pair with a simple green salad or roasted vegetables.

Notes

For extra richness, stir a splash of heavy cream or a pat of butter into the pan juices before serving.
