  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts Trimmed and halved
  • 6 ounces bacon Chopped into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese Optional, for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Chop the bacon into small pieces and mix it with the Brussels sprouts.
  5. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and the bacon is crispy.
  2. (Optional) Sprinkle with parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

Serve hot straight from the oven as a side to roasted chicken, pork tenderloin, or steak. Cool to room temperature, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in a 375°F (190°C) oven for 8–10 minutes to restore crispness.
