Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
Baking
- Using a cookie scoop or two tablespoons, drop heaping mounds of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
