  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs Beat in one at a time.
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Consider using dark chocolate chips for a deeper flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For the perfect presentation, serve warm with milk, coffee, or fruit. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze dough for later use.
