  • 3 cups broccoli florets Green beans can be substituted for a crunchy twist.
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup tamari sauce or coconut aminos Coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil Walnut oil can be a nutty substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon honey Use sugar-free syrup for a keto-friendly option.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted Optional, for garnish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice your beef sirloin into thin strips to ensure tenderness during cooking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the tamari sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, garlic, and honey. Toss in the beef slices, coating well, and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add a bit more sesame oil if needed and toss in the broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
  3. Return the beef to the pan and stir everything together, allowing the flavors to meld for an additional 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer to a platter and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for garnish.

Notes

For variations, you could omit honey for a low-carb version, add more veggies like snap peas or bell peppers, or spice it up with red pepper flakes or sriracha.
