Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound beef sausage You can also try turkey sausage for a lighter option
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for smoother blending
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your preferred blend
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef sausage until browned and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes. Stir occasionally to break it apart.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined and smooth.
  4. Once the sausage is ready, drain any excess fat and combine it with the egg mixture. Stir to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in the oven at 350°F for about 15-20 minutes. You can also microwave individual portions. Feel free to personalize the recipe with different sausages or vegetables.
