Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Brown the butter: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue cooking, swirling the pan occasionally, until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Combine sugars and butter: In a large bowl, mix the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Stir in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
- Sift dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Spread and bake: Pour the batter into your prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool and serve: Allow the blondies to cool in the pan, then cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
These blondies are perfect on their own, but you can enhance the experience further by serving warm with vanilla ice cream or pairing with coffee or milk. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
