  • 4 cups all-purpose flour Can use whole wheat flour for a nuttier flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast For the rise.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Helps activate the yeast.
  • 1 cup warm milk Not too hot or too cold.
  • 1/4 cup melted butter Adds richness. Reserve some for brushing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Mozzarella recommended for meltiness.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • to taste chopped parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the warm milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Brush melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle minced garlic and shredded cheese evenly on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly from the long side to form a log, then slice into equal pieces about 12 rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the tops with a little more melted butter before baking.
  2. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Feel free to mix in herbs or spices for variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for a month.
