Ingredients

Dough and Fillings
  • 1 can refrigerated croissant dough The pre-rolled kind is best!
  • 1 cup filling (shredded cheese, ham, or sweet blend like cream cheese and sugar)
  • to taste salt and pepper To season your filling.
  • to taste green herbs (cilantro or parsley) For the carrot tops; swap with basil or mint for different flavor.
  • to taste orange food coloring Optional, for the carrot look.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into triangles. Roll each triangle from the base to the tip to create a cone shape.
  3. Optionally, add a few drops of orange food coloring to the dough before rolling.
  4. Pinch the base of the cone to secure it, then fill with your desired mixture—cheese, ham, or cream cheese.
Baking
  1. Place the cones on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they stand upright.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Garnishing and Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  2. Decorate with green herbs to mimic carrot tops.
  3. Present these cones on a platter and enjoy.

Notes

These cones can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking. Can be served at gatherings, brunch, or as a quick dinner.
