Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 28 oz frozen shoestring French fries Regular or sweet potato fries can be used.
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with cream of chicken soup.
  • 10.5 oz cheddar cheese soup Feel free to use a different cheese soup variety.
  • 1/2 unit yellow onion, diced Adds flavor to the casserole.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef and onion with the cream of mushroom soup and cheddar cheese soup. Mix well.
Assembly
  1. Spread half of the frozen French fries in the bottom of a baking dish.
  2. Pour the beef and soup mixture over the fries, spreading it evenly.
  3. Top with the remaining French fries.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the fries are golden and crispy.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider seasoning the ground beef with garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, or your favorite spices while cooking. You can experiment with different types of cheese soups or even add shredded cheese on top before baking for an extra cheesy crust. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, simply pop it back in the oven or use the microwave.
