Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until edges are nicely golden.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. You can also add nuts or dried fruit for added texture and flavor.
