  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract For fragrance and flavor.
  • 2 large eggs To bind all the ingredients together.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Feel free to swap with dark chocolate or add some walnuts.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies turn lightly golden.
  2. Remove from oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for that fresh-baked feel.
