Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies turn lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for that fresh-baked feel.
