Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, watching for the edges to turn golden and the center to look slightly underbaked.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. Freeze in a zip-lock bag for longer storage. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
