  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adds sweetness.
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar For depth and extra moisture.
  • 2 large eggs Bind the ingredients together.
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract A must for flavor.
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips The star of the show! Feel free to swap with dark or white chocolate.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla until well combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just incorporated.
  6. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers are soft.
  2. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. You can freeze the dough for up to three months and bake straight from the freezer, adding extra minutes to the cooking time.
