Ingredients

Filling ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk Can substitute with vegan condensed milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Coating ingredients
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips Good-quality dark chocolate is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil Optional, helps achieve a smoother dip and glossy finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and salt until a dough forms.
  2. Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them into patties.
  3. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes.
Dipping
  1. Melt dark chocolate chips with coconut oil.
  2. Dip each patty into the chocolate, covering completely.
  3. Place back on the parchment paper and let sit until chocolate hardens.
Storage
  1. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for longer storage (up to 2 months).

Notes

For a cleaner dip, use a fork to lift patties from the chocolate and tap off excess. If the filling is too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar a tablespoon at a time.
