Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1 pound tender steak, cut into bite-sized pieces (try sirloin for a budget-friendly option)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the Spicy Cajun Alfredo Twisted Pasta
  • 8 ounces twisted pasta (cavatappi or fusilli works beautifully)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • optional Fresh parsley for garnish

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Begin by boiling salted water in a large pot. Add the twisted pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once done, reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
Preparing the Steak Bites
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Sautéing Garlic
  1. In the same skillet, add another 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to let it burn.
Creating the Alfredo Sauce
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and stir, bringing it just to a simmer. Add in the grated parmesan cheese and Cajun seasoning, mixing until smooth. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked pasta and steak bites to the sauce, tossing to coat everything. Cook together for a couple more minutes.
Serving
  1. Plate your creamy garlic butter steak bites along with the spicy Cajun Alfredo twisted pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of milk or cream. For variations, swap proteins or adjust spice levels.
