Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb kielbasa or smoked sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces Can use smoked turkey sausage or chicken sausage for variation.
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed (or 2 cans (15 oz) green beans, drained) Fresh green beans recommended for best texture.
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved Red or yellow potatoes work well.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium) Use low-sodium to control salt levels.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional) For added flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For Garnish (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add sliced kielbasa, green beans, potatoes, and onions to the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle with garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour chicken broth over the top and dot with butter pieces.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender and the flavors are well combined.
  2. Gently stir halfway through cooking to ensure even cooking and flavor distribution.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired before serving.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. For longer storage, freeze in portions for up to 2 months.
