Ingredients
  

Cheesecake Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries Chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar To taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream Optional
Dough and Frying
  • 1 package pie dough
  • Oil as needed Oil for frying Ensure it's hot before frying.
  • Powdered sugar as needed for dusting Optional, for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.
  2. Fold in the strawberries gently.
  3. Roll out the pie dough and cut it into circles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheesecake filling in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a fork.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the pies until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These pies can be served warm or at room temperature. Pair with vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce for added indulgence. Store leftovers in an airtight container; will last up to 2 days at room temperature or up to a week in the fridge.
