Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish or spray it lightly.
- In a large bowl, stir together the condensed soup and sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until smooth.
- Fold in the cooked protein and frozen mixed vegetables. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until it melts slightly into the mixture.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top.
- Sprinkle additional cheese on top and optionally add breadcrumbs or crushed crackers.
Baking
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly at the edges and golden brown on top.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to help it set and slice neatly.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, assemble in a freezer-safe dish and freeze for up to 2 months.
