  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 15 oz can corn, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 28-32 oz bag frozen tater tots

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, mix beef with soup, sour cream, milk, corn, 1 cup cheese, and spices.
  4. Spread mixture into baking dish. Top with tater tots.
Baking
  1. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Add remaining cheese and bake 10 minutes more.
  2. Cool slightly and serve.

Notes

Serve warm with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables. Tips: Drain excess fat from beef and sauté onion for added flavor. For crispier tots, adjust oven position or broil briefly.
