  • 4 cups fresh peaches (peeled, pitted, and sliced) Canned peaches can be used if out of season.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust according to the sweetness of peaches.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Enhances flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Provides warmth.
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Fluffy and light.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder For perfect rise.
  • 1 cup milk Whole or almond milk can be used.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted) Adds flavor.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Let this sit while you whisk the batter.
Batter Preparation
  1. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and sugar. Gradually stir in the milk until smooth, then fold in the melted butter.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish, then spoon the peach mixture over the top. Do not stir.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
