  • 2 cans Canned Peaches Use a good-quality brand or fresh peaches when in season.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust to your preference.
  • 1 cup Flour Provides structure to the cobbler.
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder Helps the cobbler rise.
  • 1 cup Milk Adds moisture and richness.
  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted) For that rich, buttery taste.
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Customize to your taste for warmth and depth.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the canned peaches and place them in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
Mixing the Batter
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  2. Pour in the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
Combining and Baking
  1. Pour the batter evenly over the peaches. Do not stir; the batter will rise and surround the fruit.
  2. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serving
  1. Let it cool slightly before serving warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.

Notes

Storage: Leftover peach cobbler can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at a low temperature to keep the crust crisp. Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter and avoid overmixing for the best texture.
