Easy Pecan Pralines

  • 1.5 cups pecans (halves or chopped)
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cups evaporated milk

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and evaporated milk.
  2. Stir continuously until the sugars dissolve and the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Allow to boil for about 5 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the pecans.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment paper and let cool until set.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider toasting the pecans lightly before use. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.
