Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
Biscuit Topping
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in melted butter and milk until just combined.
Assembly and Baking
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit batter over the peaches.
- Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the biscuit topping.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
