  • 1 lb ground beef Well-seasoned and drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American) Use freshly grated for better melt
  • 1/4 cup garlic butter For brushing on top
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough For wrapping the filling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Once cooked, drain excess fat and mix in shredded cheese until melted.
  4. Roll out crescent roll dough and cut into triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll the dough tightly around the filling.
  7. Brush the tops with garlic butter.
  8. Place rollups on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with classic burger toppings on the side for customization.

Notes

Cool completely and store in an airtight container; refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze unbaked for up to 2 months. Bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
