Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Seasoned with salt and pepper (feel free to swap with thighs for juicier meat).
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Because who doesn’t love a buttery finish?
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced The star of the show.
  • 1 lemon juice from 1 lemon To brighten the flavors.
  • to taste salt and pepper
For Garnishing
  • to taste fresh parsley or thyme, chopped For a fragrant touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by patting the chicken breasts dry and seasoning them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to foam.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it, as that can make it bitter.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  4. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle in the chopped herbs and the lemon juice.
Serving
  1. Plate the chicken and spoon the buttery garlic sauce generously over the top. Enjoy with your favorite side!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat or in the microwave until heated through. Don’t overcrowd the pan and always use fresh garlic for best flavor.
