- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook your noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain them and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the sesame oil. When it's hot, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant and golden.
Cooking
- To the skillet, add the soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, and chili oil if using. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing well to coat them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the noodles to soak up the flavors.
- Remove from heat and top with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
Consider adding veggies like bell peppers, spinach, or broccoli for extra nutrition. For a protein boost, stir in grilled chicken, tofu, or shrimp. Increase the chili oil for a spicy kick or replace sesame seeds with crushed peanuts or cashews for a crunchy twist.
