Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium cucumbers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small onion (finely sliced)
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a healthier option) Can be substituted with dairy-free alternatives.
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them thinly. If desired, peel them first for a smoother texture.
  2. In a large bowl, add the finely sliced onion to the cucumbers and mix gently.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the dressing over the cucumber and onion mixture. Toss gently to ensure every piece is coated.
  5. Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Before serving, give the salad a good stir and garnish with fresh dill.

Notes

Consider adding a pinch of garlic powder for more flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days. Avoid reheating as cucumbers will lose their crunch.
