  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract For that warm, comforting scent.
  • 2 large eggs Binding everything together perfectly.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Or mix it up with chunks for that gooey pull!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Let that oven warm up while you whisk.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until fluffy and light.
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Scoop a generous portion of dough (about 1/3 cup) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Press down gently to flatten slightly.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set but soft.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Feel free to experiment by swapping semi-sweet chocolate with dark chocolate for a richer taste. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
