For the pecans
  • 2 lbs pecans
For the coating
  • 2 teaspoons molasses
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the molasses, brown sugar, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Add the pecans to the mixture and stir until they are well coated.
  4. Spread the pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden and fragrant.
  2. Allow them to cool completely before serving or packaging them for gifts.

Notes

Store in an airtight container. At room temperature they keep well for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze in a sealed container or freezer bag for up to 3 months. To refresh crispness, warm briefly in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 5–8 minutes.
