Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract until everything is well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop generous amounts of dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space between each mound.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
For added variety, incorporate chopped nuts, replace butter with mashed bananas for a healthier option, or even stuff cookies with chocolate chunks.
