  • 1 box cake mix (green color preferred)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)
  • as needed red candy hearts

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs until a dough forms.
  3. Use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough and roll into balls.
  4. Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat.
  5. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Press a red candy heart into the center of each cookie before baking.
Baking
  1. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are set.
  2. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet until firm, then transfer to a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 3 months.
