Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls toasted, if desired
  • 8 slices provolone cheese or cheese of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté sliced onions and bell peppers until soft.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Split the hoagie rolls and fill each with the beef and vegetable mixture.
  4. Top with provolone cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese for a few minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished as desired.

Notes

For best results, brown the beef well for deeper flavor and toast the hoagie rolls lightly to prevent sogginess. Serve immediately after assembling.
