Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping them attached in one loaf if possible.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Layer the ham evenly over the mustarded bottoms.
- Top with slices of Swiss cheese, covering the ham.
- Replace the top halves of the rolls, pressing down gently.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and poppy seeds. Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake an additional 3-5 minutes until the tops are golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley, slice into individual portions, and serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to mix ham varieties for tailored flavor. For a vegetarian version, replace ham with roasted mushrooms or grilled eggplant and use a sharp cheese.
