Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, beating well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this to the butter-sugar mixture.
  5. Gently stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space in between for spreading.
  2. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes
