Ingredients

For the Pizza Pockets
  • 1 batch Pizza Dough (store-bought or homemade) You can try making your own for a special touch!
  • 8 slices Pepperoni Feel free to swap for turkey or plant-based alternatives.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Fresh mozzarella or shredded for convenience.
  • 1/2 cup Pizza Sauce A good marinara works too; add spices for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Enhances the flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Adds more flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. If using store-bought dough, follow package instructions. If making from scratch, roll it out on a floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Use a round cutter or a drinking glass to cut out circles from the dough, roughly 4-5 inches in diameter.
  3. Place a slice or two of pepperoni in the center of each circle, followed by a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and a spoonful of pizza sauce.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling, forming a half-moon shape. Press down the edges firmly with your fingers, then crimp with a fork for extra security.
  5. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil, and sprinkle with extra herbs if desired.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pockets are golden brown.
  2. Let them cool for a few minutes before diving in; the filling will be piping hot!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, pop them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or until warmed through.
