Optional garnish
  • as needed chopped green onions

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag, and pour the marinade over them. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to soak in the flavors.
Cooking
  1. While the salmon is marinating, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Arrange the marinated salmon on the baking sheet and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is flaky and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Once baked, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Don't overcook the salmon. Aim for a temperature of 145°F (63°C) to ensure it's perfectly done. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
