  • 1 cup provolone cheese, sliced Can substitute with mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the slider buns in half. Place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer the deli meats evenly over the buns, followed by a layer of provolone cheese, roasted red peppers, and red onions.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning across the top of the filled buns, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Place the tops of the buns back on, ensuring everything is snug.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic, then brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a minute before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to substitute deli meats for grilled chicken or turkey for a healthier option. Consider adding a spread of pesto for flavor.
