Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your casserole cooks evenly.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced kielbasa until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked kielbasa with diced potatoes, cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and diced onion. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and evenly spread the mixture.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden.
- Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving.
