Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on the sheet and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, turning once, until they are golden and crisp.
- While the tots bake, cook the bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
- Let the tots cool for 3 minutes, then thread two tots onto each skewer, sprinkle cheese and bacon in layers.
- Return the assembled skewers to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melty and skewers are warm.
Serving
- Serve immediately with dollops of sour cream or Greek yogurt and pickled jalapenos on the side.
Notes
Soak wooden skewers to prevent burning. Offer toppings buffet-style for creativity. Use air-fried tots and Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
