Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine your sliced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon, mixing until the apples are well-coated. Spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Pour the melted butter into the dry ingredients, stirring until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  5. Distribute the crumbly topping over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Notes

Consider adding dried cranberries or nuts like walnuts or pecans for added texture. For a healthier option, you can swap half the butter with a mashed banana or unsweetened applesauce.
