Ingredients
  

Salmon and Glaze
  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (skinless, boneless)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 unit Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
  • 3 tablespoons honey Can be swapped with maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Sliced oranges (for garnish, optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season them with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the salmon skin-side down in a baking dish. Pour the orange glaze over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  2. For an extra touch, turn on the broiler for the last 2 minutes to caramelize the glaze slightly.
  3. Remove from the oven, garnish with sliced oranges, and serve immediately.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or enjoy cold in a salad.
