- Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter until it foams.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Carefully flip the fillets and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until they are opaque and flake easily.
- Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine and scrape up any flavorful bits stuck to the pan.
- Lower the heat and mix in the Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Add the salmon back to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, and warm for a minute.
