Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them. In a bowl, mix them with half of the sugar and set aside.
Batter Mixing
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining sugar, flour, milk, baking powder, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
Assembling and Baking
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Carefully spoon the peaches and their juices over the batter. Do not stir.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is bubbly.
Serving
- Allow the cobbler to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C). Avoid microwaving to preserve texture.
