Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans 15-ounce cans of sliced peaches (in syrup or juice)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Ground cinnamon (optional, for a spicy kick)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open the canned peaches and drain some of the syrup, spreading the peaches evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish.
Mix the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, milk, melted butter, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt until thick and smooth.
  2. Pour the batter over the peaches in the baking dish.
Bake
  1. Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
  1. Let the cobbler cool for a few minutes before serving.
