- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches with ½ cup of granulated sugar and set aside. Let the peaches sit to release their juices.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining ½ cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly stir in the milk until the batter is smooth. Then, fold in the melted butter, but don’t overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter, including any juice, making sure to distribute it evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
