  • 6 cups Fresh Peaches, peeled and sliced Use ripe peaches for the best flavor, frozen peaches can be swapped if necessary.
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar, divided Divided into two portions.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder For a lovely rise.
  • 1 pinch Salt To balance the sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon, optional For a hint of warmth.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup Whole Milk For moisture in the batter.
  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted For rich, buttery taste.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches with ½ cup of granulated sugar and set aside. Let the peaches sit to release their juices.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining ½ cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Slowly stir in the milk until the batter is smooth. Then, fold in the melted butter, but don’t overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter, including any juice, making sure to distribute it evenly.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
