Peanut Butter Blossoms

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 ¾ cups flour All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt Kosher or sea salt recommended
Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter Softened
  • ½ cup peanut butter Creamy or chunky as per preference
  • ½ cup sugar Granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1 egg Large
  • 2 Tbsp milk Whole milk is best
  • 1 tsp vanilla Pure vanilla extract
For Topping
  • 36 Hershey Kisses Unwrapped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unwrap 36 Hershey Kisses.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  4. In another bowl, cream together butter and peanut butter.
  5. Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing until smooth.
  6. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  7. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until the dough forms.
Baking
  1. Scoop dough using a cookie scoop and roll into balls.
  2. Place ¾ cup of granulated sugar in a shallow bowl and roll each dough ball in the sugar to coat.
  3. Place dough balls on a Silpat lined cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven, and press one Hershey Kiss in the center of each cookie.
  6. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Transfer baked cookies to a cooling rack.

Notes

Serve at room temperature for best texture of chocolate. These cookies can also be packaged for gifts.
