Ingredients
  

For the cookies
  • 1 stick butter Should be unsalted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk Whole or 2% milk recommended
  • 1 cup peanut butter Use a sturdy peanut butter for best texture
  • 3 cups oats Use old-fashioned oats for a chewier texture
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, and milk. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in the oats until well combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool until set.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months.
