  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips Use against the grain for tenderness.
  • 2 pieces bell peppers, sliced (any color) Add during last hours for firmer texture if preferred.
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Substitute with tamari for gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch For thickening the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste amount Salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the beef strips in the Crock Pot.
  2. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion on top.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Stir well before serving.

Notes

Serve over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor.
